DREAM CITY
On September 24-28, 2019, the 4th international film festival "Dreams City" will be held in Rivne. More than 450 films from filmmakers from more than 50 countries have been selected for the film festival contest.
This year the jury will evaluate films in two competition programs: national and international, in six nominations. National program: feature documentary, short feature film. International program: full-length feature film, short feature film, short documentary, animated short films.
In 2019, the film festival is supported by the State Agency of Cinema and Rivne City Council.
The organizer is NGO "Rivne Oblast Organization Ukrainian Marketing Association".
About the film festival
Rivne International Film Festival "Dream City" takes place annually, since 2016.
Throughout its history, the festival has become one of the most important artistic and cultural events in Rivne, the region and the country. The event was visited by guests from different parts of Ukraine, as well as from Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, Norway, Israel, Canada and other countries.
About 700 works from more than 40 countries in the world have been submitted to the expert selection of RIFF “Dream City” in the past years.
215 films of Ukrainian and foreign production took part in the competition program of the film festival.
There were the most interesting events - the locations of the film festival:
• Rivne Film School, where well-known filmmakers and artists hold workshops for those interested;
• "Make a movie in the Dream City" - a competition of short films that participants shoot during the film festival at the locations of Rivne;
• Open Cross-Cultural Space - an open space for filmmakers, actors, producers, artists, local authorities and the media to discuss films, share their experiences with colleagues, and share interesting projects.
The competition program of the film festival in different years (2016, 2017, 2018) was evaluated by an expert jury consisting of actors of theater and cinema, national artists of Ukraine, Ukrainian and foreign film critics, producers, directors, screenwriters of films, composers, namely:
